Week 5: IGQuiltFest

NATIONAL QUILTING MONTH PHOTO CHALLENGE / #IGQuiltFest:

What are you doing for National Quilt Month? Are you following the photo challenge, hosted by Amy Ellis (AmysCreativeSide.com), posted to #IGQuiltFest. I don't have an Instagram account but will participate by posting weekly photos (with captions) in this space.

DAY 25 - WHILE SEWING I LIKE TO . . .

Turn on a timeless classic movie or favorite musical. Image by Kevin Phillips by Pixabay.

DAY 26 - FAVORITE FINISH(es)

These two projects were being worked on at the same time. Throughout the year, progress continued and then completion at the end of last year!

DAY 27 - INSPIRATION

A friend sent this colorful quilt photo with the caption "you can do this"!

DAY 28 - BINDINGS

While helping a friend add binding to her California King quilt, we had to find a video to help us miter the corners with 2.5" binding. Check out Kate's BIG Binding Quilt tutorial.

DAY 29 - FUN WITH FABRIC

The chalkboard sign in the consignment shop reads "Local Artists RePurpose Quilts".

DAY 30 - MUST MAKE

This Four Patch Charm Quilt Tutorial by Tamarack Shack is available as a PDF Pattern.

DAY 31 - WIP

My "studio" is getting a spring cleaning.

From Amy's March 1st blog post:

IGQuiltFest celebrates the many different aspects of quilting, and is a great way to get to know other quilters online. There's no pressure to post EVERYDAY but it's definitely fun to post when you have the time.

Enjoy the inspirations on her website. To participate: Add a photo to your Instagram profile based on the daily prompt. Use #IGQuiltFest in the caption of your posts and have a public profile to show up in the hashtag feed.

Did you participating in IGQuiltFest Photo Challenge?
