As I ran out the door for a lunch date, I pulled a couple of quilting books from my bookshelf that I thought somebody else might enjoy. I received an email that morning about a Crafty Book Swap, inviting us to bring in up to 10 books you want to trade, and choose from a delightful sampling from other crafter's libraries. I wanted to stop by to see what books might be available for trade.
The yarn shop cleared two areas with stacks of books for various craft projects: crochet, knit, scrapbooking, quilting, sewing patterns, etc. The small space was especially inviting with colorful quilts displayed on several walls.

The quilts offered a beautiful display of patterns and the book swap was a special bonus.
I came home with WillowBerry Lane's "Gorgeous Quilts for Gracious Living" by Sonja Moen & Vicki Lynn Oehlke - inspired by the Villa Shower Curtain. And Leisure Arts Presents "Quilter's Complete Guide (revised edition)" by Marianne Fons & Liz Porter - a terrific reference for quilters of all levels.
Have you brought home any treasures from a recent outing?
