"Come Fly With Me" was my April project for the Main Street Quilts: One Monthly Goal challenge. The original pattern showcased flying geese but I substituted them with butterflies from a border print.
After several attempts to place the single butterfly squares on the quilt top, I decided that the scale of each (at 16") was just too large.
I was able to piece the quilt top in time to complete April's OMG project.
When the quilt top returns from the quilter, I will add binding using Abbey Road by Isadora Phoenix (for Benartex). I like the look of the black strip on the top and bottom so there is no need to add a border there.
Have you linked up, to Elm Streets Quilt: One Monthly Goal?
What is your goal for May?
(A goal could be to finish a quilt but it could also be to attach a binding. Whatever it takes to help you move forward and make progress on your projects! And as long as the project involves a needle and/or fabric, you can link up!)
Did you finish your April OMG project?
XOXOX
Your quilt top looks lovely. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and congrats on your finish. Patty 4/20/2017
We are a third of the way, Patty. Thank you for providing a monthly inspiration to this part-time quilter.
